The excellent optical quality of the D-Lux 7 is based on the combination of the large aperture (f / 1: 1.7-2.8) and long focal length of 24-75 mm (35 mm equivalent) of its fixed lens.
It delivers impressive results across all genres of photography: portrait, landscape, architecture, macro or photojournalism.
Especially in low-light situations, the D-Lux 7 convinces with excellent picture quality – even when shooting without a flash.
It is equipped with a completely newly developed sensor with 17 megapixels.
Its resolution is independent of the selected aspect ratio (3: 2, 4: 3, 16: 9) and allows even more details in each image.
The large area of the 4/3 sensor increases the individual pixel size, so that they can absorb more light. Result: the image noise is significantly reduced and the image quality – especially in the available light photography – increased. Thanks to its extremely fast autofocus, the D-Lux 7 is always ready to capture even the most fleeting moments of life.
With up to 11 frames per second, it sets completely new standards.
In addition, their innovative post-focus function offers the option of defining the focus point only after the shot has been taken.
For the highest precision in image composition, the D-Lux 7 has a high-resolution electronic viewfinder with a resolution of 2,760K pixels.
Using the 3-inch touch screen with a resolution of 1,240K pixels on the back of the camera, the photographer can easily operate the D-Lux 7 and judge the quality of an image immediately after shooting.
If individual pictures are not enough, the video function of the D-Lux 7 is used. With 4K resolution – four times higher than Full HD – and up to 30p in MP4 and AVCHD format, the D-Lux 7 captures moving images down to the last detail.
Its 4K Photo feature also allows you to save individual images from the video in a resolution of 8 megapixels.
