Description
The Leica IIIc has been produced between 1942 and 1944 in grey paint finish with silver chrome elements due to the shortage of chrome.
Many of the grey finished models were used by military forces and have been marked. There are also grey painted Leica IIIc cameras without military markings.
Amongst these grey painted models the ones with ball bearing equiped shutter are quite unique. Such cameras are definetly rare and hard to find!
If you are lucky enough to find one of these few cameras the condition is mostly showing hard signs of wear or the camera has been restored.
Our Leica IIIc K (serial number 389894) with ball bearing mounted shutter was probably delivered in 1943.
The camera has been overhauled or restored, apparently. It is in very good to mint condition!
Total production: approx. 3.214 in grey paint finish, it is not exactly known how many of these were equiped with ball-bearing races
