Description

The fourth version of the Summicron-M 2/35mm lens was introduced in 1979 in black chrome finish (order no. 11310) and has gained an outstanding reputation until its production end in 1996.
The optical performance is excellent even on modern digital Leica M cameras such as the M10 or M10-P. Many users especially praise the bokeh of this lens as one of its outstanding features.

During the production period, there were only minor changes in detail and a fairly manageable number of special models. These include, among others, the variants with "Leica 1913-1983" engraving.
From 1992, the first production lots were produced in silver chrome finish. However, this version was not officially available until 1993.
From the silver chromed version, only a maximum of 6,000 pieces were built, making this lens very popular among collectors.

For sale is a recently serviced (April 2022) Summicron-M 2,0 /35mm in very good condition from 1980.
The lens will be delivered including lens hood and original box

Total production: approx. 30.550 units
