The Summilux-M 1.4/35mm ASPH presented in 1994 was created due to the high demand for the Summilux 35mm ASPHERICAL and was the first series lens at Leica that was produced with “blank-pressed” aspherical elements.
This special manufacturing technique not only made it possible to produce in large numbers, but also noticeably minimized scrap during lens production.
From the point of view of this technological pioneering position in the 1990s alone, the Summilux-M 1.4/35mm ASPH. a very special lens.
But the Summilux can of course also score with its optical quality.
The sharpness and contrast are still excellent (even regarding todays demands), the tonal value separation and color nuance are excellent and the bokeh is more harmonious than with the current version of this lens type.
The offered Summilux-M 1.4/35mm ASPH. is technically as well as cosmetically in very good to mint condition and is delivered including lens hood and caps.
