Description
The Leicavit M is a mechanical fast wind mechanism for Leica M cameras, built from 2003 to 2020 based on the Leicavit of the 1950s for Leica screw thread and rangefinder cameras.
The Leicavit is attached to a Leica M camera instead of the base plate and enables experienced photographers to achieve a frame rate of approx. 2 to 2.5 frames per second.
Compatible are all models from the Leica M4-2 onwards, which were also intended for use with the electric Motor-M or Winder M and its predecessors.
The regular series version of the Leicavit was black paint or silver chromed.
Later, a black chrome version was introduced, which is probably the rarest of the three normal series versions.
