LEICA M4-MOT Lack mit NY-Motor
The Leica M4 Mot is one of the rarest regular production models of the Leica M series. Launched in 1968 and in production until 1971, the model designation was initially M4 M. In the course of the comparatively short construction period, only about 955 cameras were produced.
Like the previous model, which was the Leica M2 M, the M4 Mot was equiped for use with the Leitz New York motor drive. Since almost all of these cameras have been used by professional photographers, it is now almost impossible to find a camera in mint condition.
Just as rare is the finding of a fully working camera and motor drive combination and among collectors, the unchanged cosmetic condition is often rated higher than a technically perfect function.
Offered is a Leica M4 Mot in black lacquered version from the year of 1970. The condition of the camera is mint with just a small dent on the top-plate. The Leitz New York motor drive is very good to mint.
Since 1971 only one lot with 100 cameras was produced, one can say that the offered Leica M4 Mot is one of the last produced models.
The most outstanding feature of this special Leica M4 Mot is its new condition!
Total productionof Leica M4 MOT: approx. 640 pieces
