LEICA Televit-M Telyt 5,6/400mm
The Telyt M 5.6/400mm was presented at the Photokina 1966 together with the Televit rapid focusing mount and was available until 1972/73.
The main applications for this lens were sports and nature photography, and in both these areas the image quality was more than good. Since the optical design of the lens is merely an achromatic lens (two cemented single lenses), the imaging performance in the peripheral areas is not as high as in the center.
The Telyt 5.6/400mm was available with both Televit-M and Televit-R. For both rapid focusing mounts approximately 1,300 lens heads were manufactured.
A complete combination, as offered here, consists of the lens head Telyt 400mm or 560mm, the aperture, the Televit (in M or R version) and a shoulder stock.
Optionally, at that time there was still a wide carrying strap (Order No. 14130) which could be attached to the Televit.
The offered Televit-M with Telyt 5.6/400mm lens head (year 1967) is in very good to mint condition and is complete!
The original user manual (also 1967) will be included.
