LEICA MP "Ralph Gibson"
The Leica MP "Ralph Gibson" was designed by the well-known Leica photographer Ralph Gibson and is based on the standard analogue Leica MP camera.
The special model has a viewfinder magnification of 0.85x and has frame lines for 35mm, 50mm and 90mm focal length. In the special model, the frame selector lever that can be regularly found on the MP was omitted and the standard rewind button was replaced by a crank.
The camera is black chromed and covered with a burgundy red or maroon vulcanite style cover. The top cap is engraved with the signature of Ralph Gibson.
The special edition is limited to only 50 pieces worldwide and is no longer available.
Ralph Gibson has been photographing with Leica for about 45 years, was a member of the photo agency Magnum and is considered one of the most important contemporary photographers.
Especially his black and white photographs were style-forming.
The offered Leica MP "Ralph Gibson" (no. 07/50) is in very good condition and comes with the full original packaging.
The camera was used and had the last maintenance service in 2018. Technically a perfect base and cosmetically very good.
