LEICA Elmarit-M 2,8/24mm ASPH. silver chrome
The silver chromed version of the Elmarit-M 2,8/24mm ASPH. first appeared in September 1998 and the lens was listed in the Leica price lists until May 2005.
Based on the serial number lists available to us, we assume a maximum number of approx. 1,500 lenses in this version!
The Elmarit-M 2,8/24mm ASPH. lens closed the gap between 21mm and 28mm focal lengths and was a welcome addition to the Leica M system when it was introduced in 1996.
The main field of application is in architecture and landscape photography, although it has been used by some photographers as a reportage lens and is. Generally it can be said that the Elmarit M 2.8/24 ASPH. achieved a very good imaging performance and can be easily used on modern digital M-cameras.
Offered is a very rare silver chrome Elmarit M 2,8/24 ASPH. (built in 1998). Cosmetically and technically in very good to mint condition.
The lens was serviced by Leica in February 2019.
Total poduction: approx. 1.500 units at most!
